The Love I Have Never Known
It must be beautiful to be someone’s shelter, to be the name a heart whispers at dawn, to have hands that search for you in the darkness and a soul that chooses to stay when the night comes.
It must be magical to be chosen every day, without empty promises or words that fade away, to have someone protect your wounds with care and love the broken pieces you hide somewhere.
I have never known that garden called love, only the cold paths beneath a silent sky above.
My only companion was the lonely night, my only comfort was the absence of light.
I learned to embrace the shadows and their secrets, to speak with ghosts of forgotten regrets, to lock my heart behind endless doors so no one could shatter it anymore.
But somewhere deep inside my sleeping soul, a tiny flame still survives and glows.
A whisper beneath the darkness and the cold says:
“Maybe someday someone will walk this road.”
Maybe there is a love that will not break me, a soul that will stay and truly see me.
Someone who looks into my darkness without fear and finds a hidden flower growing there.
Because even the ravens that haunt my skies know that hope can bloom where the darkness lies.
And maybe one day, among stars and night, someone will find my fragile, shadowed light.
